Degrees / Certificates

Two types of degrees are offered: academic/transfer degrees and technical degrees.
  • Academic/transfer degrees are core-focused, transferable to any Texas-state (public) university and recommended if your goal is to earn a bachelor's degree.
  • Technical degrees are primarily focused on coursework in a specific program area.  They require a minimum of core courses and are intended for students desiring to enter the workforce as a skilled employee upon graduation. If you are enrolling in a technical program and plan to transfer to a four-year institution, please consult with an advisor regarding transfer requirements and course transferability to the four-year institution of your choice.
