The Fall 2019 Richland Honors Scholarship application is open for you Aug. 1. Apply as soon as you can, as the application period closes on Aug. 15.
The Richland College Honors Program provides qualified students with small, discussion-oriented classes. When you complete the program, you will earn your associate degree or Associate of Applied Science degree and graduate from Richland as an Honors scholar.
You will earn that designation when you complete nine hours of Honors work at Richland and complete at least three hours of cocurricular activities and three hours of extracurricular activities before you graduate or transfer.
To graduate with the Richland Honors Certificate, you have to earn at least a 3.25 overall GPA.
Honors Program applications are accepted year-round.
However, applications for
Honors Program scholarships are only open from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15.
The partial scholarships — the $500 Richland College Honors Scholarship and the $400 Joe Stanco Scholarship — are both merit-based.
To apply, you need to complete both the Honors admission application and the
DCCCD Foundation Scholarship application. If you need help with your applications, please let the Honors staff know by 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 15.
The Richland Honors Student Center is located in room 055 of El Paso Hall. Dedicated staff are on hand to help you get into the program and get you some financial help as well!
