Enjoy DCCCD Family Day at DMA

This article appeared in the Nov. 6, 2018, issue of the student newsletter.

Mark your calendar for the weekend of Sunday, Nov. 18, when the Dallas Museum of Art hosts DCCCD Family Day.

As part of Family Day, you and up to five guests will get complimentary access to all special exhibitions when you show your DCCCD student or employee ID. On Nov. 18, there are two exhibitions available that normally have a ticket fee:

  • Cult of the Machine: Precisionism and American Art: Cult of the Machine examines American culture from the 1910s to the Second World War and reveals how the American love affair with new technology and mechanization shaped architecture, design and the visual culture of the United States.
  • Günther Förg: A Fragile Beauty: surveys the prolific and provocative career of the late artist Günther Förg (1952-2013).

You can make a weekend out of it by going to see the Brookhaven College Big Band perform on Friday, Nov. 16, as part of the DMA's Late Nights series.

The band, under the direction of Jisun Huh, will begin its performance at 10 p.m. in the Atrium. Student tickets for Late Nights events are available for $5 with your DCCCD student or employee ID.

Use your student benefits to spend some time at the DMA this November!
