Home Buying 101

Thinking about buying a home one day?

The Dallas Community Colleges have real estate classes that can help you navigate the home buying process. For example, Cedar Valley College has a popular “Home Buyer Class 101” that covers everything you need to know in eight hours flat!

You can learn about:

  • The mortgage process: your finances, your credit, the home price and the loan
  • Down payment and closing cost assistance that is free
  • Income guidelines for Home Buying Assistance Programs
  • How to get up to $20,000 in home buying assistance

Interested in continuing your education? Home Buyer Class 101 tuition is $35 through Cedar Valley College Continuing Education. The next class sessions are available on weeknights (Dec. 13 - 14 or Jan. 24 - 25) and weekends (Jan. 21). Sign up today by calling 972-860-2995.
