Developing Skills for Success
While you’re getting your education in Fashion Marketing, get on-the-job training in a fashion- related field with a sponsoring business. Cooperative education provides you with the work experience required to get the job you really what when you graduate. Fashion Marketing students also complete volunteer projects in advertising, visual merchandising, fashion shows and special events for small fashion retail businesses. The capstone experience for this program is cooperative education, in which students apply classroom knowledge and skills to fashion-oriented jobs in the local workplace.

Fashion marketing careers emphasize a well-rounded skills set for its graduates, including strong communication skills, leadership ability, initiative, high degree of motivation and energy, analytical ability, good eye for coordinating and commercializing trends and the ability to work with team members and management, computer skills and flexibility.
