GED (General Educational Development) Preparation CoursesWorkforce Education offers instructional courses in Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Social Studies. The classes are designed to provide skills necessary to successfully pass the Official GED Test. A textbook is required for these courses. GED preparation courses are NOT ELIGIBLE for FINANCIAL AID.
Course Eligibility: Individuals 18 and older who are not enrolled in a public school are eligible to take GED Preparation Courses. Students are required to complete the TABE Assessment to evaluate current Academic Skill Levels in Reading and Mathematics for registration placement. (See Presentation)

PLATO Reading and Math â€“ Skill Enhancement CoursesSelf-paced courses in reading and math are available to strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and math skills. These courses are offered separately and may be used as a refresher, to enhance academic skills for job readiness or to prepare for advanced GED courses. An instructor is on hand to assist students with any learning challenges. You may qualify for Financial Aid. PLATO applicants are required to attend a Mandatory Orientation and complete the TABE Assessment. A textbook is not required for these courses.
