The role of the central sterile technician is to learn and perform all aspects of sterile processing functions with basic surgical instrumentation in the health care workplace. Our courses are designed to prepare students to take the CBSPD exam. Topics include A & P, microbiology, infection control, decontamination, surgical instrumentation, prep and packaging, sterilization and inventory control. You must have Continuing Education Advisor approval for this course.  A Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen will be conducted on 09/08/16 during class.  Students must be prepared to pay for both at the time of testing.  Instructor will provide more information on the first day of class.
