Admissions Process

Securing Your Admission - Eligibility


The Engineering Academy is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students that have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by El Centro College. Students interested in the Texas-Chevron A&M Engineering Academy at El Centro College must first secure admission to El Centro College.
 
First-time, full-time students should submit one of the following:

First-time and continuing students at El Centro College, or those already enrolled within Dallas County Community College District, who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program must express interest timely. Applicants are encouraged to frequently review the El Centro College website for additional detailed information on securing admission to the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at El Centro College, including important deadlines and pre-qualification.
 
Once El Centro College pre-qualifies students, students will receive a secondary application link specific to the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy. Students should submit the secondary Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy application and all supporting credentials to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions by the appropriate deadline. Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at El Centro College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.
 
Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and enrolled at El Centro College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through El Centro College and Texas A&M University-College Station.
