Food and Hospitality Service Instructor
Sheila Hyde began her hospitality career at age 15. Her more than 25 years of experience in the industry includes hotel and restaurant service and management, and both on-premise and off-premise catering.
She is active in the community through organizations like SkillsUSA, and is the USA WorldSkills Expert in restaurant services. She is also the District 5 director for SkillsUSA, and is on the Hospitality Educators Association board of directors. Sheila also volunteers for the GDRA ProStart program for high school students.
Sheila holds a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University and a master’s degree in education from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Before joining the team at El Centro, she was the hospitality instructor at Allen High School.
