Food and Hospitality Service Instructor
Jessie Taylor-Yearwood has taught at El Centro since 1994. Before joining the staff, she served the DISD Child Nutrition Program as a food service specialist with responsibilities for up to 45 cafeteria operations. She has also served as a culinary instructor at Skyline High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in nutrition and institutional management and a master’s degree from Texas Woman's University.
A registered and licensed dietitian, she has served as a Texas ProStart volunteer for more than five years as a competition judge. Her love is to engage people where they are while challenging them to fulfill their gifting and dreams.
