Una M. Gordon, B.S.N., M.A., RN

Retention Specialist 
El Centro College

Una M. Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in counseling from Amberton University in Garland. A nursing professional for more than 20 years, her specialties are in pediatrics and pediatric psychiatry. She served as program coordinator for El Centro’s LVN program for three years.

A faculty member since 2002, she enjoys interacting with students and being a vital part of nursing students’ clinical experience. She has worked in community health in the areas of immunizations and safety, has served as a school nurse in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD and has worked at Scottish Rite Hospital, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Dallas County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority (now known as Metrocare). 

She is a member of the Texas Association of Vocational Nurse Educators and the Texas Community College Teachers Association.
