Dr. Nash started serving the public in 2001 working with humanitarian NGO’s and non-profits. Because of the nature of the NGO’s he served, which tended to have a heavy focus on health care for the poor and the underserved, Dr. Nash became curious about the medical side of public service. This curiosity led to a transition into EMS. Following EMT school Dr. Nash worked with Medstar Mobile Healthcare starting in 2011 and served with them in a number of roles (field and educational) until 2015. From 2015-2016 he taught International Relations at a leading university in Indonesia. After the Indonesian contract was finished Dr. Nash got back into EMS education where he continues to work today.
Matthew holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University and a Master’s degree in Government from Regent University.
Dr. Nash joined El Centro full time in 2016.
