Michael Anthony


Michael Anthony has taught Fashion Design courses at El Centro for more than 25 years and served as program coordinator from 2003-2012. He began teaching full time at El Centro in 1989, having worked previously in the computer industry for a software manufacturer that created one of the first apparel-related programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from Indiana University.

His career in the fashion industry includes working as a freelance costume designer for children’s theater and as an assistant designer for Jerrell of Dallas and several other local design houses. He also worked as head designer for J. Jacks International, a high-end line of couture clothing, for five years and for Victor Costa for a year.
