The Surgical Technologist program at El Centro will prepare you for a career in health care where you can really make a difference in people's lives. Our faculty draw on their knowledge and experience to ensure student success.
The Surgical Technologist program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs,
Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. The professional organization is the
Association of Surgical Technologists, and the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is responsible for administering the certification exam.
The Surgical Technologist program is located in El Centro’s Center for Allied Health and Nursing, 301 N. Market St. at Pacific, a block from the El Centro College Downtown Campus. Opened in 2008 to house the college’s allied health programs, the center comprises 55 classrooms and labs that contain some of the most advanced equipment available to educate health care students.
