Kimberly Forcum’s clinical experience includes neonatal nursing, women’s and children’s health, maternal nursing, infection prevention and employee health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas and is completing a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She is certified as a neonatal intensive care nurse; as a faith community nurse by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center; and in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association. She has also served as a regional trainer for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
She has served as a nurse manager in infection prevention and employee health, as well as in pediatrics, at Medical Center of Plano; as clinical instructor for HCA North Texas; as a community nurse educator and nurse clinician in the women’s and children’s department of Medical Center of McKinney; and as a nurse manager in pediatrics at Medical Center of Plano.
She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing; the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN); the Academy of Neonatal Nursing; the National Association of Neonatal Nursing; the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC); and Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 300 at the University of Texas at Arlington.
A parish nurse, she serves on the Prince of Peace Catholic Church Parish Nursing and Wellness Committee; served as nurse consultant to Van Taylor, state representative of District 66; and has volunteered for Girl Scouts of America, the March of Dimes and the Children’s Advocacy Center.
