Criminal Background Check and Drug Testing
All students enrolled in Health Occupations programs are required by Dallas/Fort Worth Hospital Council member facilities to undergo a criminal background check and drug testing prior to beginning their clinical experience.
Application and Admission to the Program
The program accepts six to 10 students each summer semester. Program courses are offered primarily during daytime hours, and clinical training experience begins after you are formally accepted to the program.
The program comprises lectures, skills labs and clinical experience and requires a full-time commitment from students. The schedule for classes and clinicals varies from semester to semester, but classes are typically held Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The 16-week academic semesters in fall and spring involve class and clinical experience every week.
