El Centro College
Marco Ayllon holds a master’s degree in computer science and information technology and a bachelor’s degree in information systems and management, both from Long Island University in New York City. He is working on a doctorate in information technology education and education leadership and management from New York University.
He began working at the colleges of DCCCD in 1997 as an adjunct faculty member and became a full-time faculty member at El Centro College in 2013. Mr. Ayllon has also taught at Texas A&M University-Commerce and Long Island University. He has also worked as a teacher of bilingual speech communication and disorders at Columbia University in New York; as a mathematics teaching assistant at Long Island University; and as a freelance computer consultant.
He holds the following credentials and certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP); Project Management Professional (PMP); New York teacher certification K-12 in bilingual mathematics and technology; A+ from CompTIA; and an IRS Professional Corporate Fiduciary Preparer Certificate.
