FacultyEl Centro College
Don Bittinger teaches computer courses at El Centro for both the Computer Information Technology and Internet Development Technologies programs. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Amber University and a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University.
He began working at DCCCD in 2000 at the LeCroy Center for Telecommunications and became a full-time faculty member at El Centro College in 2007. Mr. Bittinger has also taught at the National Institute of Technology, University of Texas at Dallas, Richland College and Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City.
Professional experience includes a total of 20 years working for Texas Instruments as a manufacturing/test supervisor, software configuration manager and as the Internet manager/webmaster; six years working as a project manager and system analyst for eCampus and eLearning systems support at the LeCroy Center; and one year as a corporate trainer and learning and development consultant for Affiliated Computer Systems.
He holds credentials and certifications in Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet Technology (MCP+1), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Certified Technical Trainer (CTT), Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW); Network+ and A+ from CompTIA, Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)-Building Rich Internet Applications and Project Management Professional (PMP).
