EMS Education at El Centro

El Centro College offers a Paramedic certificate program for college credit, as well as a continuing education EMT certification.

EMT & Paramedic programs - Emergency Medical Education

El Centro College offers EMT and Paramedic certification training. There are two levels common in Emergency Medication Services (EMS): Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic.

EMT is the most common certification and is a starting point for a rewarding career in the health care field. The EMT training at El Centro College will teach you to provide basic life support and emergency healthcare in settings such as an Ambulance Agency, Hospitals, and Fire Departments.

Becoming a Paramedic requires that you have a current EMT certification and successfully completed an anatomy and physiology course.   El Centro College Paramedic Program is a 34 semester credit hour program that prepares you to provide advanced health care to patients.  We offer Paramedic classes year round in formats such as full-time Monday through Friday, shift-based, and hybrid with face-to-face meetings.

Review our EMT & Paramedic class schedules and find a training class that works for you.
