“I've wanted to be a dental hygienist since I was in sixth grade. My mom had braces and would always take me to her dental appointments after I got out of school. The dentist would explain everything that was going on with her, and that got me interested in dentistry. I’ve been learning so much since day one in this program – the more I read, the more it prepares me for my future career.
“The teachers here are helping me prepare for the real world. I was working as a receptionist and found out about the program here, and wanted to change my future career. After having worked in sales and as a receptionist, I knew I enjoyed a lot of personal contact and will enjoy communicating with patients as a dental hygienist.”
