Graduates are prepared to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) and a regional clinical board in order to apply for licensure by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to become a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Some courses may transfer to other institutions. Students should contact the transferring institution for details.
Length of time is based on catalog degree plans. Prerequisites may be required, which are not included in this estimate. For most programs, full-time student status is assumed, a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
Cost is based on tuition rates for program hours and Dallas County residents. It does not include additional supplies, fees or books. Find out about financial aid.
