Mission Statement

The H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery seeks to showcase local, regional and national artists working in a variety of media as well as host exhibits traveling nationally. Exhibitions will enhance the education and experience of the students, faculty, staff and community at large. Lectures, workshops, and other events will accompany each exhibit to engage the public in the understanding of art.

Young American Talent 29th Annual High School Art Competition

Awards Reception:  March 25, 2020, 6 - 8 pm

Young American Talent is a juried visual art competition for North Texas High School students. It is hosted by the non-profit Visual Arts Guild at Booker T. Washington HSPVA and the H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College. The annual event encourages the pursuit of artistic excellence among Dallas-area high school students by providing an opportunity to compete with peers, participate in a juried art exhibit and receive recognition in a professional gallery setting.
