Certified Food Manager

Get certified or re-certified with our Food Protection Management training.

The food protection management courses satisfy FDA and Texas Department of Health guidelines, and provide a certification that’s effective for five years.

The certification program is a 15-hour training for managers of establishments that prepare and serve food to the public. You can also receive this training in Spanish. Areas of study include:

  • Techniques for sanitary food service preparation
  • Employee sanitation training
  • Housekeeping management
  • Accident prevention
  • Sanitation regulations and standards
  • Pest control

Food protection management re-certification

The re-certification program is a seven-hour state certified training program, covering the following topics:

  • Categories of food contamination
  • Factors that contribute to food-borne illness
  • Prevention of food-borne illness
  • Introduction of HACCP
