The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and reports directly to the Dallas County Community College District Chancellor. The President has responsibility for the operation of the College in consultation and coordination with the District Office.

Brookhaven College is an open-access public community college with enrollment of over 12,000. It opened in 1978 as one of seven separately accredited colleges of the Dallas County Community College District.
