Our Responsibilities


Priscilla Staley, Director:  oversees the operations of the department; media relations; serves as the college media spokesperson in the absence of the College President; coordinates crisis communication efforts; oversees branding of the college and publicity efforts; works with academic areas in special event planning and serves as a college liaison for community relations / sponsorships and advertising.

 

Carol Carosilva, Sr. Administrative Assistant:  serves as office manager for the department, handling telephone inquiries from the general public and internal requests from college staff. Requests for college promotional materials must be made to Admin Assistant at least 48-72 hours in advance.


Amy Loftis, Sr. Special Projects Manager:  responsible for coordinating publicity and marketing efforts of college programs and events with local media, oversees social media and produces collegenewsletter and press releases. Publicity efforts may require 4-6 weeks planning time for local media.  Posts social media and email blasts.

 

Ryan Scott & Zharro Webb, Web Content Coordinators:  responsible for the college web site and works closely with the marketing office to ensure college information is accurate.  Oversee WebDesk, MyPortal and serves as liason between college and District Office for updates to college catalog.

 

Cynthia Vargas:  Assists web coordinator with various web projects, and overall maintenance of college website.

 

Eddie Walker, Senior Graphic Designer:  oversees the production of internal and external college collateral and promotional materials (i.e. programs, fliers and rack cards, posters and advertisements).  Coordination and production of printed materials efforts may require 4-6 weeks lead time to allow sufficient production time with requests. Projects must follow DCCCD Style Guide and Graphic Standards.
