The Dallas Texas Prefreshman Engineering Program (Dallas TexPREP) is an academically intense, mathematics-based, summer enrichment program.
The program is presented in a seven-week session over the course of three summers, each year progressively harder and building upon the previous year’s work.
TexPREP provides students who have demonstrated mathematical ability through academic performance and teacher/counselor recommendations the opportunity to study
- science
- technology
- engineering
- math (STEM)
along with computer science at various sites throughout Dallas.
Along with classroom instruction, participants will attend related field trips throughout the Metroplex and be exposed to guest speakers and activities geared toward sparking further interest in STEM fields.
The 2012 Dallas TexPREP Program will begin Monday, June 11 and end on Thursday, July 26. The daily schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 9:00am-3:30pm. Classes begin each day with a guest speaker on STEM careers.
