What is the El Centro Testing Center for?

El Centro’s Testing Center exists to administer placement and enrollment exams

Can ECC Testing Center staff fax an official score report?

No, ECC Testing Center staff will not fax score reports.

Can I schedule for Accuplacer over the phone?
No. Referral Forms, identification and, in some instances, receipts must be presented before pre-scheduling could be completed.

Testing Roadmap

For the New Student in Initial Testing

  • Student must first speak to an academic advisor in order to determine which Placement Exam should be taken for proper assessment
  • Advisor must refer student to the Testing Center with a Test Referral Form indicating student’s name, student’s ID number and noted Placement Exam
  • Student can obtain practice test and other helpful information regarding the Placement Exam from the Testing Center

Guidelines

ECC Testing Center testing rooms are monitored by cameras and other computer screen monitoring software.
  • A picture ID will be required
  • Children are not allowed in the testing room, and they cannot be left unattended in the Testing Center area.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the testing room.
  • Cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off and locked in ECC Testing Center lockers before entering the testing area.
  • Lockers are located in the hall. All personal materials must be placed there before you can test.

Dual Credit Testing

High School students in the 11th and 12th grade who:
  • Demonstrates college readiness by meeting TSI standards on relevant section (s) on an approved assessment instrument.

  • Demonstrates that he or she is exempt under the TSI provisions.

El Centro College Testing Center is a partner in the enrollment process.

How to be admitted as a student

  1. Application
    • All students must submit an application for admission (Student Admissions Division).
  2. Advisement
    • All students must see an advisor in the Counseling Center.
    • Counselors will provide students with a Test Referral Form.
