The El Centro Physics Department strives to provide quality instruction that is coupled and reinforced by hands-on, practical laboratory experience. The students receive an educational experience with the following characteristics:
 
  • Practical real-life applications related to everyday-life as well as to specific disciplines that students may transfer to such as engineering, computer science and Allied health professions.

History

Mission Statement

The El Centro History Department is devoted to encouraging critical thinking regarding historical issues and provide information and resources to develop ideas and opinions using sound, factual reasoning.  In addition, the department emphasizes the diversity within history by emphasizing the roles of all groups being studied including different racial/ethnic group, gender, and cultural groups.
