Business and Technology

We offer Supervisory and Leadership Training that will:
  • explore concepts and skills of leadership in the work setting
  • explore concepts of leadership and its relationship to management
  • examine basic supervisory tasks, performance skills, common problems encountered, and effective solution strategies

Additionally, you can:
  • Learn to develop a Business Plan and effectively market and advertise your company and products.
  • Design Professional Brochures, Catalogs Forms and Posters using the most current Adobe InDesign software.

Basic Skills / GED

GED (General Educational Development)

Workforce Education offers instructional courses in Reading, Writing and Math. The classes are designed to provide the skills necessary to successfully pass test in the five GED subject areas. These exams may be taken by individuals 17 and older who are not enrolled in public school. Each test is taken and scored individually.

Tests may be taken at the Bill J. Priest Campus, 1402 Corinth St., Room 1070.

Arts


If you are interested in an Art class that is not offered in our CE on-line schedule, please contact us and let us know as we also offer many classes concurrently with credit classes.

Health Careers

Are you interested in entering the health care field? El Centro’s Continuing Education health courses are avenues to immediate employment. Get started with a career as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician or Community Health Care Worker.

Are you interested in a health career that does not involve direct patient care then perhaps Medical Staff Services, Medical Interpretation or Medical Coding and Billing is the program for you.
