We welcome you to El Centro College in this our 46th year of being the primary higher education institution in downtown Dallas. We’ve been serving students since 1966 as the first college in the Dallas County Community College District.

At El Centro, your success is our mission. That is why El Centro became an Achieving the Dream College in 2010, one of more than one hundred colleges nation wide focused in very systematic ways on student certificate and degree completion. On behalf of the college’s faculty, staff and leadership team, I welcome you, our new and returning students. We are pleased that you chose El Centro as your college home.

You will find many opportunities at El Centro waiting for you. These include gifted, dedicated professors and student services employees; cutting-edge technologies and learning resources along with the honor’s program, service learning and cooperative education options, student clubs and organizations, a lecture and performance series and professionally coordinated art exhibitions.

Best wishes for your success.
