Welcome to the El Centro Counseling & Advisement Center online. The departments within this Center form the hub of student services at the college, providing a wide variety of centrally located programs and activities to support students’ pursuit of their academic goals.

From the admissions process to the graduation ceremony, our primary goal is to help remove the barriers to student success – through our programs, our services, our expertise and our personal support. The Academic Advising Center

• Drop-in assistance

  Academic Advisors are available to assist you with academic advising on a walk-in basis.

• TSI (Texas Success Initiative) information and assistance

  Receive information on your TSI status, obtain test referrals and get your test scores interpreted.

• New student orientation

  Enjoy a one day event equipped with the essential information and activities that will guide you to a successful college start. Orientation is conducted for new students prior to the start of each semester.

• Pre-assessment orientation and information

  Undecided?  Academic Advisors are available to speak to you about all of the possibilities at El Centro College.

• Transfer information and assistance.


• Career advising, assessment and exploration.


• Personal Counseling

  Counselors can assist you with adjustment issues, coping skills, domestic violence, relationship issues, self-esteem, and more.

On-line self-registration may be accessed through eConnect. Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor to discuss their educational and career goals.
