Academic Advising

Students on Probation, Suspension, Dismissal and Indefinite Dismissal must meet the petition and registration deadline date: July 3rd for Summer II & August 16th for Fall.
Whether your goal is to transfer to a university or obtain the skills that you need to enter the workforce directly from El Centro, academic advisors are trained and ready to help your build a plan for accomplishing your educational goals. The academic advisors and counselors will:

  • Review placement scores and determine course placement
  • Guide students in understanding degree and prerequisite requirements for their selected program of study
  • Provide information as it relates to academic policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Refer students to other campus resources to help them succeed in the classroom
  • Help students complete official degree plan paperwork and apply for graduation

We believe that students are responsible for making their own decisions about career and academic goals and want students to know that the Academic Advising Staff is here to support you along the way.
