Academic Advising


Whether your goal is to transfer to a university or obtain the skills that you need to enter the workforce directly from El Centro, academic advisors are trained and ready to help your build a plan for accomplishing your educational goals. The academic advisors and counselors will:
 
  • Review placement scores and determine course placement.
  • Guide students in understanding degree and prerequisite requirements for their selected program of study.
  • Provide information as it relates to academic policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Refer students to other campus resources to help them succeed in the classroom
  • Help students complete official degree plan paperwork and apply for graduation.
 

We believe that students are responsible for making their own decisions about career and academic goals and want student’s to know that the Academic Advising Staff is here to support you along the way.

Scheduled Appointments

To schedule an appointment please visit the receptionists in A110, or call 214-860-2083 or 214-860-2415.

Appointments will be approximately 30 minutes in length; if you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment you will need to reschedule.
