  1. A spacecraft is traveling a 50 meters per second.  If it continues at this same rate, how far will it have traveled in 30 hours?


  2. A gift shop has 30 feet of purple ribbon.  One employee uses 5¼ feet to wrap a gift, 3 ½ feet to wrap a second gift, and 7¼ feet to wrap a third gift.  How many feet of ribbon are left?


  3. The day after Thanksgiving a customer puts $400 worth of merchandise on layaway.  She makes a down payment of $80 and comes back a week later and pays 30% of the remaining balance.  What percent of her bill has she paid after making both payments?


  4. A vehicle uses 1.25 gallons of gas for every 20 miles traveled.  If this vehicle is to be used for a 660 mile trip, how many gallons of gas would it use?
