Downtown Meters Hooded on April 4-6, 2014

As a traffic control measure during NCAA Men’s Final Four activities happening in Downtown Dallas, parking meters on the following streets will be hooded Friday, April 4, 2014, at 6:00 AM through Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 11:59 PM .  There will be no metered parking on these streets during this time.  
  • All meters  – Elm St. (from Cesar Chavez Blvd. to Houston St.)
  • All meters  – Commerce St. (from Cesar Chavez Blvd. to Houston St.)
  • All meters – S. Houston St. ( from Elm St. to Young St.)
  • All meters  – Young St. (from Houston St. to Ervay St.)
  • All meters  – Main St. (from Houston St. to Cesar Chavez Blvd.)
Once meters are hooded, the Dallas Police Department will implement the following compliance process:
  • On Friday, April 4 at 10:00 AM, any vehicle parked at a hooded meter will receive a parking citation without warning and without exception.
  • Between Friday, April 4 at Noon and Sunday, April 6 at 11:59 PM, any vehicle found parked at a hooded meter will be towed at the owner’s expense without warning and without exception.
