This module covers how to use online databases to identify information on a topic or subject.

After completing this module you should be able to:

• choose an online database appropriate to your information need
• use an online databases to identify an article on a particular topic
• use adatabase email function to send an article to yourself
• distinguish between popular and scholarly periodicals
• determine if any DCCCD Library has a particular periodical if the online database does not contain the full-text of the article
