Checking Out A Book

Where
Books are checked out at the Circulation Desk. The Circulation Desk is located near the Library entrance. You will need a valid El Centro id card to check out books.

How Long
The borrowing period is 3 weeks and items can be renewed for an additional 3 weeks.

Return or Renew
The Circulation Desk is also the place to renew or return books.

Place a Hold on an Item Checked Out
If the book you want is checked out, you can ensure that you will be next in line to get it. In the Library Catalog, at the item screen, click the HOLD button and fill in the requested information. Follow the online instructions.
