Subject Search

Subject searching is very similar to keyword searching. However, keyword searches are more comprehensive because it searches all field, not just the subject heading list.

Doing a Subject Search

From the DCCCD Library catalog, click the SUBJECT button.

The next screen displays the subject search box and search tips:

The Subject search uses special terms to organize books by subject. These are called Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH for short).

If you enter your keywords as a Subject search, you may not get find many books.
