DCCCD & El Centro's Library Catalog

The online Library Catalog identifies items either physically located in the library or available electronically.

The DCCCD Online Catalog includes information about:

• books
• journals
• magazines
• newspapers
• videos
• music
• government documents
• images

and more!

For those items located physically in the Library, it will give you its location on the shelves. For those items available electronically, you can link directly to the item.

However, you won't find the actual periodical articles by searching the DCCCD Online Catalog - you find titles of periodicals. You'll need to use an online database to identify articles by topic.

Use the DCCCD online library catalog to:

• find out what books, etc. the library owns on a topic
• find out which DCCCD library owns the item and where it is located in that library
• request materials from any DCCCD Library
• check out electronic materials
• link to recommend websites on a topic
• find out what newspapers and magazines the DCCCD Libraries own

How to Access

A few books are available electronically on the Web (e-books) via the Library Catalog or from websites.

Books owned by the DCCDD Libraries, including El Centro, are listed in the Library Catalog. The Catalog also tells you the author, book topics, publisher, copyright date and shelf location (call number). Module 3 will show you how to use the Library Catalog.
