GRANT PROJECTS

In the past few years, several million dollars in alternative funding has helped us establish some of the most innovative and progressive opportunites for members of the El Centro College community. These funds from public agencies and private foundations have allowed us to implement a wide variety of programs, activities, and opportunities for faculty, staff, and students. Below are some of the finest examples of these grant projects and awards. |

| ALLIED HEALTH PROJECT | |
| The $505,232 TIF
Discovery Grant for the Allied Health Project funds the initiative to implement
streaming media into our Health Occupations programs and courses, as well
as distance education. more details |

| GEAR UP | |
|
The Gear Up project creates a partnership among students, parents, schools,
business, and the community to significantly increase the number of low-income
students who are prepared to succeed in college. |

| TRIO | |
|
The TRIO Student Support Services Program offers services to assist students
succeed while enrolled at El Centro College, as well as preparation for
transferring to a baccalaureate program. |

| 21st CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER (CCLC) | |
|
The CCLC provides expanded academic enrichment opportunities for youth
in low-performing schools. |
|
| TITLE III | |
|
The Title III grant's comprehensive activity addresses institutional
problems and weaknesses by integrating technology into instruction. |
