Testing Assessment Center
The Bill Priest Institute Testing Center offers professional testing services for the community on-site and at approved off-site locations. For a nominal fee, our professional testing staff administers monitors and mails exams to appropriate scoring facilities for individuals, groups or companies. Testing staff follow strict national and state guidelines for testing, while maintaining a professional, relaxed testing environment. The Testing Center offerings complement the other programs and services provided by the Bill Priest Institute, many of which require assessment of readiness or entry-level ability for training programs. Funding agency guidelines also often require a measure of baseline performance as a means of determining student progress. The Testing Center employs a variety of tools to access this information. The Testing Center provides performance testing services that include: correspondence testing, credit by exam, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), DANTES, CLEP, various national certifications, and licensing and board exams for professional groups. Contract Testing
Several national organizations use our professional testing facilities and staff to administer their exams. On an annual basis, we offer the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE). We offer Eletricians Tests (ICC) and Automotive Service Exam (ASE). The Bill Priest Institute is the exclusive ACT Center in the Dallas area. This evolving nationwide network uses the latest technologies to deliver testing and training services for individuals, educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations. Current and future ACT Center services include: computer-delivered certification and licensure tests for trades and professions; continuing education courses in a broad array of disciplines; and distance learning. The Testing Center is certified to administer GED exams. The five tests that are offered include: language arts/writing, language arts/reading, social studies, science and math. Total testing time for all five exams is just over seven hours. Tests are spread over two days, allowing candidates an opportunity to structure test-taking times around work and other personal responsibilities. The cost for the first five exams is $65. To schedule an exam, you must make an appointment. GED exams are offered Wednesdays and Thursdays twice a month (except holidays), beginning at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration, which is required for all GED exams, must be completed in person at the Testing Center on non-test days.
