Orientation: Two Ways
On Campus:
- This will be your first time in college
- Plan on taking classes at the college
- Like speaking with people face to face
- Provides the opportunity to meet El Centro administrators, staff, faculty, and students
- Meet other new college students
- Learn how to register for classes
- Register for classes during the advising session
- Receive information on financial aid from a financial aid advisor
Online:
- Appropriate for new college students, transfer students, and returners
- Plan on taking courses mostly online
- Learn about the different types of online courses offered
- Will be able to register for classes online
- Appropriate scores in reading are required
- Please allow 24-48 hours after completing your online orientation before having the orientation block removed
- Students completing orientation online will be required to attend a scheduled advising session before registering for classes
