What is Achieving the Dream ?

ATD is a multi-year, national initiative to improve student success, especially among low-income students and students of color.  ATD's overarching principles aimed at improving student success are: Committed leadership, Use of evidence, Broad engagement, and Systemic institutional improvement.

El Centro's Areas of Focus:

Fall to Spring Retention of 1st Semester Students students who re-enroll

Success of 1st Semester Students Passing with A, B, C grades or passing exit Exams (ICE and RCE)

The cohort would include all 1st semester students enrolled in Developmental Reading, Writing and Math classes.
