The El Centro College Vocational Nursing Program is a 12-month, 54-credit-hour curriculum leading to a certificate of completion. This program prepares the Vocational Nurse graduate to work in the medical field as part of a team of dedicated medical professionals in hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices, and many other areas of health care. A graduate of the program is eligible to take the NCLEX-PN examination to become a licensed vocational nurse (L.V.N.) within the guidelines set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
