Minimum Test Scores
  • To enroll in dual credit courses, students must present a passing score on the ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER or Texas Higher Education Assessment, THEA, in at least one area (reading, writing or math) as applicable to the course(s).

  • ACCUPLACER testing is available at the college.

  • The following are the minimum test scores for students to be accepted in the dual credit program:

    Test Minimum Score
    TAKS (exit level) 2200 in math and/or English language arts with a writing score of 3
    SAT 500 verbal, 500 math, 1070 composite
    SAT II 500 critical reading, 500 math, 1070 composite
    ACT 19 verbal, 19 math, 23 composite
    ACCUPLACER 78 reading, 80+ verbal with 6+ on essay, 69/64 college algebra
    THEA 230 reading, 220 writing, 270 math
