The Assessment Centers exist to administer placement and enrollment exams, to proctor instructional exams and a wide variety of exams in a safe, secure environment where the integrity of exams could be upheld.

There is no Dual Credit Testing. High School Students seeking entry into Dual Credit Courses go through the Admissions process. These students are referred to the College Dual Credit liaison who works with high school principals and counselors. The Accuplacer is the test administered to Dual Credit students.

This is the same test as that for EMT; however, before testing, you must consult the Dallas Fire-Rescue Departments recruitment office. There is a Civil Service Exam that they sponsor before we partner with them in administering the Accuplacer for Paramedics and Firefighters.

Your tests are filed by course and section number. We can ensure the right exam for your instructor when this information is presented.

HESI is not a program. It is a test. One must first apply through Health Occupations program.

As soon as it could be arranged through Health Occupations, students may retest.

All testing must be arranged through advisement, instructors and then by presenting a referral form to the customer service staff at the Assessment Center, when times could be discussed. Please refer to our operating hours and calendar.

Accuplacer is administered each week. Accuplacer is administered on Mondays and Tuesdays during the long semesters and Monday through Thursday during registration periods. Accuplacer is administered each Saturday.

The first administration of the Accuplacer is free. Retakes are $10.00.

No pre-scheduling is mandatory, but students have the option to do so.

The entire Accuplacer can take from 3 to 4 hours. One section may take an hour. Two sections may take 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Teacher Certification tests and the TOEFL test are scheduled on Fridays and some Saturdays.

However; all other tests are available to walk-ins and those who prescheduled. No tests are administered after 1:30 p.m.

The latest is 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 1:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays for instructional tests.

Student tracking and recordkeeping is important to us. We need to know who you are. An I.D. will identify who you are.

No calls are allowed during exams. No photo taking is allowed during testing. No phone noise is permitted while others are testing.

One could go to the Admissions Office or the eConnect Room. Keep your class schedule handy or consult the computers in the Student Center to get course and section numbers.

The Assessment Center provides non-programmed calculators. This is preferred by the faculty and staff of the College and has become our policy.

Unattended children are not allowed in or around the Assessment Center.
