Eligible and qualifying students
High School students in the 11th and 12th grade who:
- Demonstrates college readiness by meeting TSI standards on relevant section (s) on an approved assessment instrument.
- Demonstrates that he or she is exempt under the TSI provisions.
High School 11th graders are eligible under the following conditions that are based on the 10th grade TAKS relevant to courses to be attempted and shall not be required to demonstrate eligibility in the 12th grade:
- Scores appropriately on TAKS W/ 2200 on Math and/or English Language Arts w/ a Writing subsection score of at least 3.
High School 11th graders are eligible under the following conditions that are based on PSAT / NMSQT and Critical Reading and Math relevant to courses attempted and must demonstrate eligibility in the 12th grade:
- Achieve combined scores of 107 on the PSAT / NMSQT.
- w/ a minimum of 50 on Critical Reading and / or Mathematics.
High School 11th graders are eligible under the following conditions that are based on the PLAN and must demonstrate eligibility in the 12th grade:
- Achieve a composite score of 23 on the PLAN.
- w/ a 19 or higher in mathematics and English.
