The NET test should be taken by those who are interested in Licensed Professional Nursing careers. Are you interested in a Health Occupations career? Contact the Health Occupations Admissions Office at 214.860.2272 or check out their website.
- Speak with Health Occupations Advisor in person and obtain a test referral form
- Individuals must be a current student in the DCCCD or have submitted a college application to a DCCCD campus for the current or upcoming semester in order to test.
- Pay $18 testing fee at the Accounting Office
- Schedule an appointment at the Assessment Center.
- NET testing is by appointment only.
- Appointment slots may be limited during peak times in an application filing period.
- Students must present their Referral Form, receipt, and matching ID before being admitted to the testing room.
The test is divided into 6 sections (which are timed). The total testing time is 2 hours, 23 minutes:
- Essential Math Skills (60 minutes)
- Reading Rate (1 minute)
- Reading Comprehension (30 minutes)
- Stressful Situations (12 minutes)
- Learning Styles (20 minutes)
- Test Taking (20 minutes)
Test Score Reports will be available immediately:
- Students must present their ID at the time of obtaining their results.
- Results with names matching their ID will be given to the student.
- The Assessment Center will not send NET scores to other colleges or universities.
- Scores from other testing sites, including other colleges and universities are not accepted.
- NET scores are valid for 2 years from the date of testing.
NET Test retakes are at cost ($18.00).
- There is a 2 week waiting period for test retakes.
- Only one retake can be taken within a 12-month period.
