ITSE 1440: An introduction to creating enterprise-level applications and the use of appropriate design tools and technology with Microsoft® Visual Studio. Leading-edge software development tool Microsoft® Web Developer 2005 is included in this course.
Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. August 28 through December 13, 2007.
Winning formula:
Application Development Power = (IBM System i) + (Microsoft Windows Server)
This introductory level course teaches students how to use visual development (drag and drop) technologies to create and display sophisticated websites that are located on IBM enterprise systems. Students completing the course will understand basic server technologies (client and server side) and ASP.NET, without writing any program language code. Note: This website is hosted on El Centro's System i and was created without writing a single line of programming code!
Due to the popularity of web services, application development utilizing web technologies and connecting companies is the business standard for 2007! This increases the demand for browser-based development to access these connected systems over the intranet or internet.
