MRMT 1382 - Cooperative Education - Medical Transcription is the Capstone experience in the Medical Transcription Certificate Program.

SCIT 1407/1408, ENGL 1301, MDCA 1313, MDCA 1201, SPCH 1311, and HITT 2311 may be taken before formal acceptance to the Medical Transcription Program.

SCIT 1407 formerly BIOL 1470 and SCIT 1408 formerly BIOL 1472. BIOL 1470/1472 accepted for SCIT 1407/1408 within five-year time limit. BIOL 2401/2402 also accepted for SCIT 1407/1408. BIOL 1408 recommended prior to SCIT 1407 if no previous high school biology. BIOL 1407 is a required prerequisite for BIOL 2401.

A grade of "C" or better is required in all courses for certificate completion.

Support courses may be completed before but no after the semester indicated. Support courses completed at colleges and universities outside the DCCCD must be approved for transfer credit prior to the semester in which the course is required according to the curriculum outline.

Science coursework must be completed no more than five (5) years prior to program admission.
