Senior Adult Program


Welcome to El Centro’s Academy for Senior Adult Program.

Retirement is a time to flourish and a time to rejuvenate. Many view it as a chance to reexamine life and all that it has to offer. Take advantage of the variety of stimulating and enlightening continuing education courses specifically designed for adults 50 years and older. Leisure enjoyment and lifelong learning are the goals for this program.

Consider a course in the following areas:
  • CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH
  • INTRODUCTION TO THE PERSONAL COMPUTER
  • DISCOVERING THE INTERNET
  • SELF DEFENSE
  • WEBPAGE DESIGN
  • PERSONAL TRAINING
You may be eligible for the senior tuition waiver. If you are 65 years old, reside in Dallas County, and a resident of Texas, you can take up to six semester hours of college credit courses each semester FREE. You pay for your books and any special fees.

Consider volunteering in the Senior Adult Program. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
  • Teachers
  • Advisory Board Members
  • Activity Organizers
  • Focus Group Participants
